I have been truly blessed to "have" two wonderful kids who I would give the world to if I could! Unfortunately, we only get them every Wednesday and every second weekend. We definitely don't take for granted any minute we get with them but as with any child, they definitely have provided us many laughs and smiles from the comments only kids can make. Here are a few that still stick in our mind!
Alec: "Hey, Mom! You know who you look like? Jessica Rabbit! Except not so cartoon like!"
Me: "I do? Thats.... great, buddy?"
Alec: "Yeah, she's beautiful and has huge pillows like you."
Katherine: "Guess what, Daddy?"
Greg: "What sweetie?"
Katherine: "I know where babies come from! They come from their mommy's tummy after mommy and daddy hold hands!!!"
Alec standing next to me barefoot, "um mommy, you're rather short!"
Katherine pulling down my shirt in public, "WOW MOMMY... YOU'RE BOOBS ARE HUGE!" **thanks honey... as everyone turns to loook and giggle**
The day of our wedding, Kate was almost fully potty trained and while Greg and I were repeating vows, she yells to my mom, "Granna... I HAVE TO GO PEE!"
We introduced Alec to an employee of mine who is like the "store mom" to everyone and she introduced herself, "Hi Alec, i'm Isobel, i'm Krystal's work-mom!".
A: "Wow...cool!" He looks at her husband, Edmond, "does that mean you're her Dad too?"
While sitting in a restaurant for dinner, Alec was looking around at all the people eating their dinner and once he turned around, he said to us, "Look, they have brown skin... and they have yellow skin... and we have white skin."
Greg replied, "Alec, please don't refer to other people by their skin color, it is rude and could cause you to get in trouble when older."
Alec: "But Dad, its true. Don't you always tell me not to lie?"
Katherine was being cheeky with us one day so I said, "Katherine, you do not speak to adults with that tone of voice!" She said, "does that mean I can yell at babies?"

Oh the wonderful joys of children! I look forward to the day when Greg and I will have a baby of our own. Right now, I definitely enjoy these two and am so blessed to have them in my life!

Happily Married...

We have been happily married for one year as of April 16.
I can't help but still remember every minute of that day.
The beautiful, sunny weather we had in the middle of April. It seems that mother nature was happy for us too. Considering the days before the day after was just like a tropical storm. The beach has always been and always will be our 'special place'.
Only 9 years until we go to an exotic beach like Turks & Caicos or Atlantis to renew our vows with all our friends who weren't present at the first one.

Happy Anniversary - here's to many more wonderful years to come!
